ISO Information

What is ISO 9001:2015?

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized Quality Management System (QMS) standard that ensures companies maintain a structured, efficient, and reliable production process. Achieving this certification required NISIMP to prove the following:

  • Consistent quality control – Every batch of ink is rigorously tested for purity, stability, and performance.
  • Traceability & documentation – Every ingredient and process is recorded, ensuring full transparency and accountability.
  • Continuous improvement – Our production process is constantly analyzed and refined to maintain excellence.

This certification is challenging to obtain, requiring independent audits, strict process documentation, and ongoing compliance checks. Many companies attempt to meet ISO 9001 standards, but only the most committed succeed.

What is ISO 22716?

ISO 22716 is the international Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard for cosmetic production, ensuring the safety, hygiene, and quality of products used on human skin. While tattoo ink is not officially classified as a cosmetic, NISIMP voluntarily adopted this standard to provide artists and clients with the highest level of safety.

To achieve ISO 22716, NISIMP had to meet:

  • Strict sanitation and hygiene requirements – All production areas follow pharmaceutical-grade cleanliness protocols.
  • Contamination prevention – Each ingredient is carefully sourced, tested, and handled to prevent microbial or chemical contamination.
  • Full ingredient and batch control – Every ink bottle can be traced back to its exact production date and batch, ensuring absolute transparency and accountability.

ISO 22716 certification is incredibly rare in the tattoo industry because it requires companies to undergo extensive inspections, laboratory testing, and meticulous manufacturing procedures—processes that most ink manufacturers fail to meet.

Why This Matters for Tattoo Artists?

NISIMP’s ISO certifications aren’t just badges of honor—they’re a guarantee that every bottle of ink you use is:

  • Manufactured under the highest safety and quality standards in the world
  • Free from harmful contaminants or inconsistencies
  • Reliable, long-lasting, and trusted by top tattoo artists worldwide
  • Made in a facility that exceeds industry requirements for cleanliness and safety

Advanced Air Shower Entry System for Maximum Purity

Here's how it works:

Workers & Materials Must Be Prepped—Before entering, all personnel must wear sterilized, clean-room-approved protective gear, including lab coats, gloves, and shoe covers.

1.High-Velocity HEPA-Filtered Air Blasts—Workers and materials enter an air shower chamber, where high-speed, high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) jets remove dust, skin flakes, or external contaminants.
2.Pressurized Sealing—The air shower prevents outside air from entering the clean room, ensuring the air remains pure and contaminant-free.
3.Strict Access Control – Only authorized personnel* trained in clean room protocols can enter, reducing the risk of human error or outside contamination.

Why This Matters for Tattoo Artists

NISIMP's clean room manufacturing process is a colossal leap forward for tattoo ink safety and quality control. While many manufacturers operate in open-air industrial settings, where dust, bacteria, and other particles can contaminate ink, our clean room ensures that every batch is flawless, pure, and safe for skin application.

Tattoo artists can "trust NISIMP inks" because they are:

  • Produced in a contamination-free environment
  • Consistently smooth, vibrant, and safe for long-term use
  • Manufactured under pharmaceutical-grade hygiene and safety protocols
  • Held to the highest international standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22716 certifications.

When you use NISIMP ink, you're not just using a high-quality pigment—you're using a product manufactured in an environment designed to protect your art, clients, and reputation.

This sets NISIMP apart —a relentless commitment to purity, precision, and perfection in every drop.
